Our canvasses are made using double-primed Belgian linen. Stretched by hand,
and secured in place with tacks instead of staples, they will last for
centuries if stored in the right conditions.

"The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery."

Francis Bacon

Nothing is more beautiful than genuine Lapis lazuli, lead tin yellow, or Chinese Vermillion. These are the same pigments that have been used in painting since renaissance times. In some cases modern, chemical pigments are preferable as they will not fade or discolour over time, but the vast majority of the the colours on our palette are either sourced from historic mines, or traditionally formulated in time-honoured fashion.
